Originally designed for serving brandy or cognac, the snifter (or sniffer) has a large bowl with a narrow rim that captures the aroma of the spirit as it is swirled within the glass. Not as delicate as more expensive snifters that can be lightbulb-thin, this glass is slightly thicker than that making it a versatile vessel for spirits, and more importantly, durable enough for ice cubes or crushed/cracked ice used in cobblers and Tiki creations.
